CBN PARTICLES
Borazon CBN Type I: Density 3.48 g/cm3. Black semi-tough, semi-blocky monocrystalline substance. Extensively used in vitreous
bond grinding wheel systems and electroplated tools. Optimum balance of fracture strength and breakdown characteristics to enhance
wheel life, surface finish and dressing interval.
Borazon CBN 400: Density 3.48 g/cm3. Of the monocrystalline products, its fracture strength is surpassed only by Borazon
CBN 500. Its shape combined with unique fracture characteristics, provides extended wheel life coupled with low grinding power:
50 to 100% longer life and 10 to 20% lower power in ID, OD, tool, die, gear and form grinding.
Borazon CBN 500: Density 3.48 g/cm3. Gold in colour, tough, blocky and most widely used in electroplated tools. Highest
fracture strength of any monocrystalline CBN product. Provides extremely high abrasion rates and long-life performance in hardened
tool steels, carbon and alloy steels as well as nickel and cobalt based superalloys. |
